Transformers Headmasters 31 – Operation: Destroy the Decepticons

Since last episode the Zarak Shield has been completed and Fortress Maximus is in bad shape. The Autobots assemble a task force to take on Scorponok, who is planning on attacking Earth. The Targetmasters are ambushed by Sixshot and the Decepticon Targetmasters (Wait, what?) and manage to escape while the Decepticon Headmasters aren’t looking (No, really). The Decepticons ravage a nearby city and the Planet Master forces assault Scorponok, taking heavy casualties. Fortress Maximus takes on Scorponok for the first time with the newly completed Zarak Shield.

Spiffy:

• Arcee makes a (Completely not speaking) cameo.
• Cars with attached guns driving up the side of a cliff. Makes me want to grab some GI Joe.
• Sixshot is still completely awesome.
• MASTEEEEER SWOOOOOOORDO!

Iffy:

• In this continuity, if you blow up a planet it releases “Plasma Energy”. So logically, if you want heaps of energy, all you need to do is blow up a planet. Yeeeeeah…
• I have no memory of the Decepticons getting Targetmasters…
• The Decepticon Headmasters really are completely incompetent.
• Honestly, it’s impossible to make a giant green and purple scorpion look menacing.

Another episode with nothing really to report. Transformers shoot each other, Sixshot does all awesome stuff, and the Zarak Shield is still lame. I seriously have no memory of the Decepticon Targetmasters ever getting a proper introduction though.

Sixshot is played up as a Ninja here, which makes no sense but is still pretty cool.

Note: Car is driving vertically. At least it's not driving in space.
